Opening Caleyda Extraction Facility
Our Caleyda Extraction Facility is officially open! And who better to symbolise this significant event than the youth, our future? That is why we granted the honour of the opening to students from the Technasium. They are the generation that will build on what we established here in Emmen. This is a crucial step toward the future of green chemistry. Our Caleyda Extraction Facility showcases what is possible when knowledge, technology, and boldness come together.
Green Chemistry Workshop
Before the opening, the students received an inspiring workshop. This was conducted by teacher Marja Veurink of NHL Stenden’s new and subsequent Green Chemistry bachelor’s education and by extraction expert Boudewijn Brandt of Paques Biomaterials. They learned not only about biopolymers and the circular economy but also about their role in transitioning to a greener future. They were offered the opportunity to understand the technology and experience how cooperation and innovation can change the world.
Not only the students, but also our partners who were invited to the grand opening were offered a special course about producing PHA. Boudewijn Brandt devised an extraordinary way of visualising our technology, leading to the spectacular grand opening!
